This is a new venture for me! I am not one to normally share my thoughts, so we'll see how this goes.
First, an explanation of my picture. It was taken this past summer in Burkina Faso after my son's wedding. I bought the scarf at the market, and was asked to model it. Well, that is the only time I have worn it, but I do love it!
I have made three trips to Burkina Faso (in West Africa). Never dreamed of going there, but my son served there in the Peace Corps for three years, so momma had to go! It was something I will never forget, and am forever grateful for the opportunity to experience the culture, the country, but most of all the people!
I love travelling -- spent three years in Europe as a child, and that did it, I guess. Cannot wait to retire so will have more time to travel. The first trip to see Bryan in BF ended with a week stay in Paris with him. Incredible! Then, last November, got to travel to Israel with Elaine (sister). That was also an incredible trip.
However, no more trips are on my calendar as of this time. Can only dream and hope for more travels!
